Privacy Policy

Tathbeet Al-Hifz (“we”, “the app”) helps you revise and strengthen your Quran memorization. It is designed so that your data stays with you. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and why.
1. No account, no personal data collected
The app has no account, login or registration. We do not collect, receive or store any personal information: we have no server that receives your data.
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage:
- your settings (language, theme, review range, reminders…);
- your review sessions, ratings, statistics and spaced repetition schedule;
- your weak verses and your notes;
- your audio recordings.
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in your system backups (iCloud or Google), which are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
3. Microphone
The app asks for microphone access only so you can record your recitation. Recording starts only when you tap the record button, and the audio stays on your device. You decide whether to keep or discard each recording, and you can choose to share one yourself through your device's share menu.
4. Notifications
If you turn on revision reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. No notification server is involved.
5. Internet connection
The Quran text is built into the app. Only listening to reciters needs a connection: the audio is streamed from EveryAyah. As with any web request, that server can see technical data such as your IP address. No personal data from the app is attached to these requests.
6. In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. To confirm your access, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app, your purchase history and basic technical data (such as device model, system version and IP address).
7. No ads, no tracking
The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDK.
8. Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Your choices
- Delete your recordings, weak verses or saved sessions at any time from within the app.
- Turn off reminders or microphone access at any time in your device settings.
- Uninstall the app to delete all of its data from your device.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
